Trauma-Specialized Somatic Therapy in Echo Park, Los Angeles & Online Anywhere
Nervous system support for the high-capacity and deep-feeling
For the helper who holds it all.
For the creative navigating freeze.
For the chronically ill tired of the search.
For those ready to move from knowing to being.

Welcome, I’m Jaye.
I offer Somatic Experiencing® and Craniosacral Therapy to help high-capacity people move out of survival mode and into their lives.
I am dedicated to helping adults who survived the particular trauma of an emotionally turbulent, neglectful, or abusive childhood. Some might call this emotional neglect, relational trauma, or C-PTSD. Perhaps you immediately identify with that description, or perhaps you don't, which is incredibly common as children are brilliant at normalizing whatever environment they must adapt to just to survive.
Whether you have a clear label for your past or not, your body is currently struggling with one or more of the following patterns:
- Hyper-Independence: You carry a fierce self-reliance. Asking for help or showing vulnerability triggers a physical sense of danger or discomfort, forcing you to default to doing absolutely everything yourself.
- Emotional Flooding & Overwhelm: Your emotions tend to build and build below the surface until you are completely overwhelmed. This sudden buildup leaves you feeling totally exhausted, drained, or even in physical pain from the immense emotional toll.
- Emotional Blunting & Shutdown: Your system automatically dials down its volume to protect against intensity. This feels like physical numbness, a heavy brain fog, or a flatness that blocks your ability to access genuine anger, grief, or joy.
- Persistent Guilt: Speaking up, setting a boundary, or simply asking for what you need triggers an immediate wave of guilt and anxiety.
- Perfectionism: Your body stays in a constant state of hyper-vigilance, tightly managing your behavior and actions to avoid any flaw or mistake. This results in chronic tension from trying to be completely flawless.

Together, we will fundamentally shift these patterns.
This work isn't about giving you a checklist of coping skills. It’s about helping your body realize that you are safe, you are in control, and it is finally okay to stop just managing your life and start fully living it.
As you learn to listen to and trust your body's signals, you can expect noticeable shifts in how you move through the world:
- Clear and Easy Boundaries: You will begin to feel a clear, steady sense of your own "yes" and "no". Setting a boundary stops feeling dangerous and starts feeling like a natural, quiet act of self-care.
- Resilience for Life’s Ups and Downs: Instead of experiencing total numbness or sudden overwhelm, you will develop authentic resilience. You will find you can stay present with big feelings without drowning in them.
- The Freedom to Relax: As your system realizes it no longer has to hyper-vigilantly manage everything and everyone around you, your shoulders can finally drop. You reclaim the energy you’ve spent surviving, opening up space for genuine rest, play, and authentic pleasure.

How does it work? What actually happens in a session?
We move past just repeating the story of what happened and step into the physical language of your body.
Together, we follow the signs and signals from your body:
- Present Moment Noticing: We gently track the sensations, images, memories, emotions, and impulses to move your body is holding in the present moment.
- Exploring Edges: We lean in with curiosity, leaving time and space for your body to naturally discover a new movement or internal shift. Sometimes this happens spontaneously, other times we might try on a somatic tool I offer to see how your system responds.
- Integrating: We allow time for your body to practice being in new sensations, emotions, or expressions, moving from a state of stuckness to a lasting experience of expanded possibility.
It’s like weightlifting for your nervous system. One session won’t transform your life overnight, but it will start the training. Over time, we help your body unlearn survival habits and replace them with a new experience of capability and ease. You aren't just talking about change, you are physically building the capacity to show up for your work, your people, and your own joy with a steady presence that once seemed impossible.

Where We Meet
I offer sessions in-person in Echo Park or online from anywhere. Both ways of working are deeply effective so choose whichever allows you to show up most fully.

In-Person (Echo Park, LA)
Presence, Proximity, and Specialized Support
In-person sessions allow us to use the full range of somatic tools to help your nervous system find new possibilities.

For those who feel supported by it, we can incorporate specialized, fully-clothed Somatic Touch and Craniosacral Therapy. This is light touch, intentional bodywork focused on supporting the stuck points in your physiology—like your joints, gut, or fascia. You get to feel the support of my physical connection as we navigate your nervous system patterns.
Touch is an option, never a requirement. We can spend our entire time working verbally to track your internal landscape. Being in person simply means we have the full toolkit available to us if and when your body asks for it.

Virtual (Online Anywhere)
Deep Connection from Your Own Sanctuary
You don’t have to be in Los Angeles to experience deep co-regulation. Your nervous system is incredibly responsive to voice, facial expressions, and shared presence—all of which can translate perfectly through a screen.
Virtual sessions are perfect for those with high-demand schedules, chronic illness, or anyone who feels most themselves in their own environment.
We use focused nervous system tracking and verbal exchange to navigate your experience. We prove together that safety and connection aren't limited by distance.
Clients are saying:
"I see Jaye primarily online and am amazed at how well and productive it can be."

A Relational Practice
The quality of our work depends on the safety we build together. As a white, queer person of Jewish ancestry with a genderqueer ethos, my work is informed by anti-racist, queer-affirming, and sex-positive care.
I am committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for every individual. Let’s be real together about what it’s like to be alive today, under today’s conditions.

Stop Performing Healed. Start Feeling Held.
You were never meant to carry this alone. I know the labor of maintaining a regulated exterior while inside you feel totally overwhelmed and out of wack. Whether you are holding space for others, creating worlds from scratch, or simply fighting to inhabit your own body—there is a place for you here.
We’re not looking to shift everything at once. We just have to start where you are—at the speed of safety.
